Senate
Joint Resolution 219 (2000 Virginia General Assembly)
requested the Commonwealth Competition Council to
conduct a study of the ongoing or permanent commercial
activities of not-for-profit organizations. This study
is to also consider the effects of such activities
on state revenues.
A
taskforce was created by the Commonwealth Competition
Council to conduct this indepth study. Here
you will find the activities of the taskforce in studying
this issue. The members of this taskforce will provide
its report to the full Commonwealth Competition Council
in time for the Council to meet its legislatively
mandated deadline of December 2000 to report to the
Governor and the 2001 General Assembly.
