Installation and Setup

This chapter describes how to install SEARCH'97 Information Server V3.6 along with Agent Server V1.1.1 if licensed, and how to configure non-certified web servers. It includes the following topics:

NOTE: When you install Information Server V3.6, be sure to enter the new license key supplied with the product media. Also, SEARCH'97 Agent Server V1.11 is licensed separately from SEARCH'97 Information Server V3.6.

IMPORTANT! In order to run the command-line Verity Spider V3.6 under Solaris, you must have the correct operating system patch. For more information, see "Solaris Patch Level" in Chapter 1 of these notes.
