Using the Product Notes

These product notes describe how to install Information Server so visitors to your Web site can search it and other sites you have indexed.

Content Overview

Following are brief descriptions of the included chapters:

Chapter 1: Release Notes - This chapter provides release information and known problems for SEARCH'97 Information Server V3.6.

Chapter 2: Installation and Setup - This chapter provides installation instructions for SEARCH'97 Information Server V3.6, as well as information about manually configuring non-certified Web servers for use with Information Server.

Chapter 3: Upgrading - This chapter describes how to upgrade from previous versions of SEARCH'97 Information Server. Instructions for upgrading the Verity spider license are also included.
