Verity Spider License

The Verity Spider license covers the use of the command-line executable, vspider.exe. The default functionality of the Verity Spider includes:

File walking of any network-available file system
Web crawling of the host on which Information Server is installed

You can upgrade your Verity Spider license to include domain-wide web crawling or unlimited, multi-domain web crawling. With either upgrade option, you retain the ability to web crawl the local host, as well as all file system indexing capabilities.

If you attempt to index a site that is outside your licensed ability, you see an error message.
